Hello fellow Cassio gamers, welcome to my in-depth, all-in-one and the only Cassio guide you'll ever need! I peaked Challenger 875 LP with more than 700K mastery points across all of my accounts. If the guide was any helpful to you, a thumbs up vote would be great! I hope you'll enjoy my guide just as much as I enjoyed creating it! Make sure to follow my socials to get the latest/upcoming content!

I hope you enjoy reading the guide as much as I enjoyed writing it. Remember, the only way to get better is to take action! (if the guide was helpful, an upvote is appreciated!)
Cassiopeia deals sustained damage and Conqueror gives her more damage + more healing for her Twin Fang. This is currently the best rune to take since it increases the sustainability and damage. I would take Conqueror 90% of the time. However, you may take Phase Rush if you want to chase down / escape from champs that have gap closers.

Presence of Mind is crucial and a "must" for Cassiopeia, as you'll get increased mana regen by alot per second. Also, you'll restore 15% of your maximum mana once you get a kill or an assist. This is great for teamfights as you'll be spamming your Twin Fang.

Legend: Tenacity will be the best rune to choose. Since you won't be able to buy Mercury's Treads, having the extra 30% tenacity (when its fully stacked) can be a life saver. Instead of taking 10 years for Morgana's binding, it will take less than 4 years :)

Last Stand is the better option than Coup de Grace in my opinion. Since you'll start doing more damage at 60% hp, it is way more effective than Coup de Grace for sustained damage (great against tanks and heavy burst champs!)

Taste of Blood is great to keep yourself healthy in lane. When the opponent steps up to get a minion, make sure to use Noxious Blast to get the extra sustain. This also helps Cassiopeia's early weak laning phase abit. If you don't have mana to spare, weave in an auto can also work. Just remember to proc Taste of Blood whenever it's available!

Ingenious Hunter synergies extremely well with her items. Helps with stacking Tear of the Goddess and reduces cooldown for Crown of the Shattered Queen

This is a MUST HAVE for Cassiopeia. This will be your escape tool. I do not recommend using this to engage (unless you are far ahead) as you'll be defenseless and probably get popped.
I would take Teleport 80% of the time. It is great to get a base in after you just got ganked or expended most of your mana. You can also Teleport to a side lane for a potential counter gank.
If you feel like you can't survive a lane against a burst heavy champ, then Exhaust will be your best friend.
I would take Cleanse if there's a Zoe, Twisted Fate, Leona, or any CC heavy compositions.

Seraph's Embrace

Seraph's Embrace will be one of the core items that Cassiopeia needs to thrive in a game. Since there isn't alot of options for mana and ability power now, the extra mana that Seraph's Embrace provide is awesome. The transformed Archangel's Staff gives 5% of your maximum mana as ability power!

Crown of the Shattered Queen

Crown of the Shattered Queen is one of the best item choices to take in season 12. If there is any burst on the enemy team, Crown of the Shattered Queen can not only save you from their burst, but it can also turn a fight around with the AP it provides.

Shadowflame

Shadowflame is great against HP builders and shield users ( Karma, Lulu, Fiora, etc...). You get decent HP and a sh*t ton of AP. Would recommend building this item second after you've finished your mythic.

Cosmic Drive

The amount of stats that this item provide is nuts. It gives you 75 ability power with 200 hp AND 30 ability haste. But wait! There's more :) It also grants you additional ability haste AND movement speed when you attack a champion. For me, Cosmic Drive is a great item.

Rylai's Crystal Scepter

The slow that Rylai's Crystal Scepter provides is a great for landing your Noxious Blast. A great way to use this item to its potential is to use Twin Fang on the enemy first, then use Noxious Blast. This way, it slows them abit and gives you a better chance on hitting your q :)

Zhonya's Hourglass

This will be a great item to finish off! I would buy Seeker's Armguard early and not finish it. However, if the game is out of control, finishing Zhonya's Hourglass can be good. With the amount of hp that you build from my build, this item will make you very tanky against AD burst champs.

Cassiopeia gains 4 Movement Speed per level. Cassiopeia cannot purchase boots items.
No boots? Great! That means one extra offensive/defensive item. This is why Viktor and Cassiopeia are op! Cassiopeia don't need to buy boots and Viktor don't need his hex cores anymore (which means extra offensive/defensive item.)
Cassiopeia blasts an area with a delayed high damaging poison, dealing 75 / 110 / 145 / 180 / 215 (+90% ability power) magic damage over 3 seconds and granting her 30 / 35 / 40 / 45 / 50% movement speed which decays over 3 seconds if she hits a champion
Hitting your Noxious Blast is very important to winning trades and winning the games. The only time that you don't need to hit your Noxious Blast is when you have a teemo/singed/twitch on your team. This way you don't need to land anything!
Cassiopeia spews venom in an arc in front o her, leaving toxic clouds for 5 seconds. Enemies in the cloud take 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 (+15% ability power) magic damage per second, are slowed by 40 / 50 / 60 / 70 / 80% (decays over the duration) and are grounded, prohibiting the use of movement abilities.
This makes who Cassiopeia is. Miasma is a great ability for running down people and basically "rooting" the enemies. Place it carefully and you can potentially turn a fight to your favor!

Cassiopeia deals 48 (+4x champion level)(+10% ability power) magic damage to her target. If the target is poisoned, Twin Fang deals 10 / 30 / 50 / 70 / 90 (+60% of ability power) bonus magic damage and restores 12 / 14 / 16 / 18 / 20% of Cassiopeia's ability power to her as health. This health is 75% less effective against minions and small monsters.
The healing of your Twin Fang will be HUGGEE late game. With your Ravenous Hunter stacked, it will literally take you 2 qs and some es on the minions to get your hp back!

Cassiopeia releases a swirl of magical energy from her eyes ,dealing 150 / 250 / 350 (+50% ability power) magic damage to all enemies in front of her. Enemies facing her are stunned for 2 seconds, while enemies facing away are slowed by 40% for the same duration.
Petrifying Gaze will be your self-peel ability. If an enemies dashes onto you or jumps on you ( Camille, Kha'Zix, Yasuo) you can ult and stun them. Then you use Miasma to literally hang them on a thin rope. Don't worry about stunning people with your ult. Be patient. You'll do more damage with your Noxious Blast + Twin Fang anyways.

Early Game: Versus Easy Matchups

I'll be listing the tips and what you should be doing instead of writing an essay for you to read. Please let me know if you have any questions!

Cassiopeia has a very low base mana pool. In the early game, you can use 7 Twin Fang and you're out of mana. This means, every trade should be calculated and be decisive

A great way to trade is to use Noxious Blast and 2 Twin Fang. This actually chunks the enemy and relieves some of the pressure. With Doran's Ring you'll be able to get the mana spent on the combo within 10-20 minions

Once you have enough gold for Tear of the Goddess + Dark Seal, go back and Teleport back to lane.

At this point in the game, you should be around level 6 (with 0 deaths) Shove the wave and help your jungler. If your jungler is a "full clear" type ( Shyvana), stay in lane and continue to punish your laner. Ping your jungler to come gank and hopefully get an easy kill.

Early Game: Versus Harder Matchups

Again, Cassiopeia has a very low base mana pool. So trading against a hard matchup won't do you any good. Remember, use your mana wisely!

Standard [doran's ring start. I would suggest you to let the enemy push into your turret and build up a wave to safely reset. Of course, this would differ from game to game, but you probably wouldn't want to go all-in on the trades when you're up against a hard match up.

On your first back, try to get Seeker's Armguard or Verdant Barrier to relieve some of the burst damage from your enemy.

When you're building up a wave, always know where the enemy jungler is. If you don't, it would be really risky to step up and crash the wave. That being said, if you're jungler is near, give him a ping or two to let them know that you're pushing.
