The Tanki Basics
learn to max e, build sorc. shoes, and trade with less then your entire mana bar.

when trading you should make a choice on whether to poke or full trade every trade, when poking try to just q auto and run away, you dont care if your q lands you just need to proc sheen over and over for poke, this becomes 100% easier with ult, having 7 sheen procs to just whip out one after the next with no cost to mana makes for a good quick jab in lane, but if you full trade ignore your way of engagment and just dodge while walking at them, after you have 1 or 2 cooldowns on them smack e and just lay into them for the e duration, simply walking back as it ends, because of how corki trades primarily on fighting with an advatage, you might be down a kill in lane and they have a level on you, but when you walk up while they have nothing and rip a third of there hp away, you have exhaust, you have 2 flashes and 38 magic pen with a sheen, go get em tiger. of course you also are sometimes even and instead take of 2 thirds of their health before walking away and freezing wave pelting them with ults if they try to farm. lvl 11 muramana full stack and one of your core items, you can burst the pants off 2 people at once, watching them like swinging punch bags go back and forth to tank your damage and fail.
The Reason It Even Works ( The Math )
Corkis damage is unique because it is based on ad and does magic damage, most people leave it at that and build pen instead of leathality and call it a day, the truth is corki is disguised as a mage while build ad, now this is interesting because corki doesnt have ad scaling that scales like ap, that is to say, an aditive total for the whole of their kit, but like individual abilties for each situation that an adc might need it for, THAT is to say, each ability is seen as a choice and has similar scaling so they can trade with choice on how to do damage. Class I will now look around at the horrified faces that are slowly putting together what this all means,
I will now continue, see with these basic facts established we can begin to disect quite how effective magic pen IS on corki, when a champion builds leathality there is a ratio of leveling done to see how much armor is negated, this leads to champions based on leathality snowballing harder off of raw ad like with renger or hecerim, moreover armor is an easy stat to build with total raw armor being in the upper hundreds for just say 2 items based on armor, with this leathality is not just harder to snowball with, but easier to shut down aswell. corki does not have this limitation, this is because magic pen is unlike leathality, it is an acient stat that has no special math that prevents it from being its most effective, it breaks the game in a way of simplicity interacting with complexity, while every champion in the game cant build ad and armor pen, corki can. there is also the fact the magic resistence IS an ajusted mathy stat with most items that give it being in either meager amouts of the actual stats, that scales worse then armor for % of damage negated, even worse, so sharply scaling down at lowers amouts, MR items also have the option of situational stats or buffs to resist stats but unless you get 2 specific items your mr will only ever be around 115 to 140 with 2 whole mr items, this makes most mr items into puesdo support or damage items, making them sub-optimal unless you take advatage of every stat, yes yes children we have come full circle, wits end, maw, and of course our one of 3 core items, abysal mask, are items that have a full list of stats for our tanki boy to take in full, abysal with maxed e gives you a extra 45 magic pen, wits end on corki basically acts like a 125 ad single target murder item, and maw gives vamp a shield, cdr, and mr, but you couldnt care less because that 55 ad ontop of your current damage is overkill and then some, this results in these items working better for you then for any other champion in the game which leads me to a bold statement of, tanki is the best adc in the game, i have yet to not do the most damage on my team, now I leave you with the final statement. now what if you could give that to allies, oh wait.
