About Me
I am Ractick, an NA player and I have been playing Kayn ever since I started the game back in season 8 with 5k games on him now. I have also been maining Viego since release and am considering maining Bel'Veth too!

I am currently a Master Kayn/ Viego 2 trick and was Top 14 Kayn NA. I also stream a lot of my games on Twitch on Tue/Fri/Sat 5pm EST.

I have decided to make this guide as I think with a new champion release comes a lot of confusion and many different ideas. So I am sharing what has been working for me and what I've had the most success with! As I improve on Bel'Veth and with time, this guide will hopefully be the best Bel'Veth guide possible!

This page is an in-depth guide on how to play Bel'Veth, including what items to build and when, the most relevant match-ups explained, pathing, runes and more.
I will be updating this guide and will change things as the season progresses, to give you guys the most accurate information and resources on how to play Bel'Veth.

About Bel'Veth
I think Bel'Veth is a great and versatile champion with many different build options, infinite attack speed scaling, resets, tank shred, true damage and so much more! She is very fun to play with high mobility through her Q and has some AOE CC with her W.

BEL'VETH STRONG POINTS:
>> Extremely STRONG Early Game Ganks + Invade Power
>> Extremely High Mobility with Void Surge
>> Can easily multi-kill / 1v9 teamfights.
>> Infinite Scaling goes crazy with up to 3-4-5.0 attack speed through Death in Lavender.
>> A smexy skin.
>> Consistent Damage Output with Tank Shred, True Damage ( Endless Banquet) on and Missing Health Damage through Royal Maelstrom.
>> Snowball Potential especially through maintaining true form as long as possible.
>> Has AOE CC pre-6 on W Above and Below.

BEL'VETH WEAK POINTS:
>> Can be invaded and outskrimished by many junglers if Q Void Surge or E Royal Maelstrom.
>> Weak when behind.
>> Weak when not in true form (Ultimate not on).
>> Prone to CC.
>> Prone to burst.
>> If good farm isn't maintain scaling takes too long to get stacks on Death in Lavender
>> Extremely Countered by Rammus, Taliyah and Poppy

If you put the time to learn Bel'Veth, it will definitely pay off as she is an absolutely amazing 1v9 carry, a champion that can carry an entire team by herself, very powerful and her skill ceiling is high. You can always continue to improve and get better at her and climb more!
Runes
For Bel'Veth runes there's been two very popular options so far either going Conqueror or Press the Attack. With both, Bel'Veth can stack them in an instant with Royal Maelstrom or just through her extremely high attack speed and autos.

I have played with both runes and comes down to:
Enemy Teamcomp: When facing tankier it's nicer to have Conqueror for more overtime damage + healing allowing you to fight longer and do a lot more. Into more dueling matchups and squishy enemy comps, Press the Attack can be great too!

Here are the exact runes you can run for both setups:

Bel'Veth The Conqueror

Conqueror ★ Can be proced quickly providing high damage and healing.
Triumph Bel'Veth Getting Extra healing always nice.
Legend: Tenacity ★ Getting Chain CCed or CCed in general is your worst enemy, this will help reduce the duration of CC.
Last Stand ★ This rune will allow you to deal more damage at low HP with happens very often especially with the many resets that happen in a fight.

Sudden Impact Sudden Impact works great with her Q Void Surge dashes.
Treasure Hunter ★ Considering Bel'Veth is a scaling champion. Treasure Hunter allows her to get her item spikes much faster, speeding up how long it takes for her to come online and making her much stronger (items wise) at level 6 at her first big powerspike

Bel'Veth The Assassin

Press the Attack ★ Can be proced quickly providing high damage and healing.

Relentless Hunter Relentless Hunter giving you more move speed is a very valuable thing towards your midgame snowballing, especially as you run around with form, your impact on the map is better if you can be around faster :)

Another Secondary Runes Options for both Lethal Tempo and Conqueror into heavy CC or burst comps:

Conditioning ★ Makes you tankier, harder to burst and can last longer in fights to get resets.
Unflinching ★ Just like Legend: Tenacity you get CCed for less duration which is key to pop off on her in teamfights.

Against Lower CC Comps you can always opt for Legend: Alacrity or Legend: Bloodline
Legend: Alacrity ★ This rune helps you gain even more attack speed & works great work a Kraken Slayer build or Frostfire and when enemies don't have much CC.
Legend: Bloodline ★ This rune makes your scaling go crazy, synergizes well with your E Royal Maelstrom and provides more healing. Can be run when enemies don't have much CC and Legend: Tenacity isn't needed. Most optimal with Immortal Shieldbow build but works with any.

One Final Option, that works very well with the Immortal Shieldbow build:

Magical Footwear ★ Free boots, cool :)
Cosmic Insight ★ This one is the key, it's very important to the Immortal Shieldbow build as it will reduce your item cooldown aka you'll have your shieldbow more often! You will survive more fights :)
Summoner Spells / Smite Choice

Can consider going Ghost into some team comps where the flash doesn't seem to necessary to escape tough situations, dodge important skills shot fast, or to be used to easily jumped on backline. In that case, Ghost can serve great to stay on enemies, get more ganks using it since it's lower cooldown. It can be helpful versus many mages, ADCs and even some bruisers.

SUMMONER SPELLS
-

FLASH: Can be great to use Flash as you're trying to jump on someone, you use Q Void Surge towards them, Flash and W Above and Below for airborne follow up with another Q and shred with autos and E Royal Maelstrom.
SMITE: There will be a few games where you will exceptionally want to go Chilling Smite on Bel'Veth to reduce their ability to kite you, if you think they have too much kite.
Abilities/Champion Explained

I recommend reading through these, I tried to make them as simple as possible while including all the in-depth details of the abilities so you can master Bel'Veth easily! I put a short explanation for each ability in cyan and underlined.

Death in Lavender Gains attack speed after every ability for 2 autos & stacks permanent attack speed, by killing a camp, objective or champions.

IMPORTANT TO KNOW: Bel'Veth attacks 36% faster than the median champion and can exceed the attack speed cap, but all sources of damage (including On-hit icon.png on-hit effects) dealt or triggered by her basic attacks are reduced to 75%. Her attack speed does not increase through growth (per level).

RESSOURCE BAR ATTACK SPEED: Bel'Veth's ability casts each generate 2 stacks of Death in Lavender on her resource bar, which lasts 5 seconds, refreshes on basic attacks and subsequent casts, and stacks up to 6 times. While Bel'Veth has stacks, she becomes ghosted and gains Attack speed, 25% − 50% (based on level) bonus attack speed. Her basic attacks each consume 1 stack.

INFINITE ATTACK SPEED STACKING: When Bel'Veth scores a Damage takedown against a champion or Monster within 3 seconds of damaging them, she generates a permanent stack of Lavender. Large monsters generate 1 stack, champions and epic monsters generate 2 stacks. For each stack, Bel'Veth gains 0.25% − 1.25% (based on level) bonus attack speed.

Void Surge Four Dashes, each in a direction with their own unique cooldowns.

ACTIVE: Bel'Veth Void Surge dashes in the designated direction, though not through terrain (UNLESS IN TRUE FORM -> R Endless Banquet), dealing physical damage to enemies she passes through and applying On-hit on-hit and spell effects at 75% effectiveness to the first target hit. Void Surge deals 120% damage to Monster and modified damage against Minion.

Void Surge can be cast only within a cardinal direction that is off cooldown, and incurs a Cooldown between casts. Each cardinal direction has a unique Cooldown cooldown that is reduced equivalent to 0.25 ability haste per 1% bonus attack speed.

NOTE: Void Surge resets Bel'Veth's basic attack timer.

Physical Damage by Level: 10 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 30 (+ 110% AD)
Monster Damage: 12 / 18 / 24 / 30 / 36 (+ 132% AD)
Modified Minion Damage by Level: 60 / 70 / 80 / 90 / 100%

Above And Below AOE Airborne similar to Rhaast's W Blade's Reach: Rhaast & slows.
ACTIVE: Bel'Veth slams her tail down in the target direction that deals magic damage to enemies hit, knocks them up for 0.75 seconds, and slows them by 50% for a duration.

IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER: If this hits an enemy champion, it resets Void Surge's Void Surge's dash cooldown of the target direction.

Magic Damage: 70 / 110 / 150 / 190 / 230 (+ 100% bonus AD) (+ 125% AP)
Slow Duration: 1.25 / 1.5 / 1.75 / 2 / 2.25

Royal Maelstrom Basically root yourself, reduce damage incoming (70%), deal damage & lifesteal.

ACTIVE: Bel'Veth enters a defensive stance for 1.5 seconds, during which she is unable to move, but gains life steal and 70% damage reduction.

During this time, she rapidly slashes at the nearest enemy with the lowest current health percentage for up to 6 (+ 1 per 33.3% bonus attack speed) times over the duration. Each slash deals physical damage, increased by 0% − 300% (based on target's missing health), and applying on-hit, on-attack, and spell effects at 6% − 24% (based on target's missing health) effectiveness.

Royal Maelstrom deals 150% damage to monsters, applies life steal, and cannot critically strike.

Royal Maelstrom can be recast to end the ability, after 0.75 seconds within the duration, and does so automatically after the duration when Bel'Veth casts an another ability.

Lifesteal: 20 / 22 / 24 / 26 / 28% (+ 100% life steal)
Physical Damage: 32 / 44 / 56 / 68 / 80 (+ 24% AD)
Monster Damage: 48 / 66 / 84 / 102 / 120 (+ 36% AD)

Ultimate: Endless Banquet 2 Passives + Slow enemies in radius exploding after a bit dealing true damage to surrounding enemies.

PASSIVE 1: Bel'Veth's basic attacks on-hit apply a mark to the target for 5 seconds. Every second attack on-hit against the marked target deals bonus true damage and generates a stack of Endless Banquet that increases this damage by the same value. This effect stacks infinitely, but is capped at 5 stacks against monsters. The mark and stacks expire upon attacking a new target.

PASSIVE 2: When Bel'Veth scores a takedown against an enemy champion or objective while alive, a Void Coral is spawned from their corpse for 15 seconds. Baron Nashor and Rift Herald spawn an Enhanced Void Coral.

ACTIVE: Bel'Veth dashes to the target Void Coral to consume it over the cast time, slowing nearby enemies by 25% ramping to 99% over the duration. She then explodes to deal true damage to nearby enemies and assumes her TRUE FORM for 60 seconds.
Bel'Veth consumes all existing Void Corals at once, generating a stack of Death in Lavender for each one consumed.

True Form Explanation:

TRUE FORM: Bel'Veth evolves into a monster, gaining bonus health, bonus movement speed out-of-combat, bonus attack range, as well as increased total attack speed. Void Surge can dash through terrain. Consuming a Void Coral refreshes the duration of TRUE FORM and heals Bel'Veth.

ENHANCED VOID CORAL BONUS: TRUE FORM is empowered to last 180 seconds and causes Void Remora to spawn from enemy minions that die nearby. Gained through killing Rift Herald or Baron Nashor
Skill Sequence
For Bel'Veth there's been mostly two ideas, but both start off with a Q Void Surge max to reduce that CD as much as possible, multiplied x4 because of 4 dashes with each one having it's own unique CD.

Tips & Tricks

These are my best tips & tricks for jungling and for Bel'Veth specifically so you can carry as many games as possible and play her optimally!

Jungling:

- Objectives are your best friends and you can take them fast, always focus those when possible. This means when you have lane pressure, aka a lane that is fully pushed up allowing your laner to help you fast and first. It can also be when you get a successful gamk

- With True Form, remember you are very strong and continue to look to snowball through more kills & invades, especially considering you move fast with bonus MS and dashes through walls.

- With true form, dives are fairly easy: going in with Q -> W -> AA -> Q, finishing the opponents off with E and use Q to go out of tower range. Come back to claim your R stack.

- Always look to counter jungle when enemy is opposite side, you can farm fast and gain stacks!

If you are fed:

- Take objectives
- Dives & ganks to continue snowball
- Towers
- Invade enemy junglers, kill him or take camps.
- You can even solo baron at 3 items.

If you are behind:

- Look for good gank opportunities in your winning lane if any, otherwise look for the best opportunities possible (CC lanes, executes etc.)
- Farm, farm, farm: continue to stack.
- Get kill with your teammates.
- Try to comeback!

Mechanics:

- You can go through thick walls with Q when in True Form, always make sure to go to the thinner part of it and stick close to the wall for it to consistently work.

- Remember that your W will resets your Q in that direction.

- Remember that you can recast your E Royal Maelstrom or cancel it using another ability after 0.75s.

- Always make sure to weave in autos between abilities to use your passive which gives 2 higher attack speed autos with each ability used.

- Learn to kite with your attack speed and especially if using Lethal Tempo to abuse your range or when in True Form to win more fights.
Early Game

YOUR CLEAR

As you're clearing camps, use your Q Void Surge to dash and then auto attack twice to take advantage of your passive. The direction in which you dashed in will go on cooldown. Continue to do the same with W & E.

If you are starting Red Side, take W second Above and Below otherwise on Blue Side you take E Royal Maelstrom.

Clearing is straightforward and you have 2 options for pathing:
1. 3 Camp Into Invade / Gank (My favorite way to go): Bel'veth when all her Q Void Surge is up IS EXTREMELY STRONG 1V1 champion, she has 4 dashes, a dash reset on W, an airborne, and E mitigating damage, execute and instant stacking Conqueror.
2. 4-5 Camp Clear into Gank: This option is great if you cannot invade enemy jungler or you don't have many good opportunities early on, farm up and gank when possible. If not possible, do a full clear + scuttle, back and get yourself x2 Long Sword.
3. Full Clear (doing all 6 camps), check my Youtube Channel for a guide (@Ractick).

YOUR GANKS

When going for ganks, walk up to the enemy and use your Q - Void Surge. Use your W Above and Below to knock up and slow enemies as well as refreshing the dash you used initially.

Your E Royal Maelstrom deals missing health damage & gives you 70% damage reduction as well as some life steal. Use this at the end of your combo to finish off opponents or when you get low.

YOUR FIRST POWERSPIKE:

At level 6, you are almost at your powerspike, you will need to kill an enemy or an objective now to claim your true form. Very important to actively be looking for opportunities especially now after 6. After you gain your form, a big goal of yours should be to try to maintain that form especially if it's a herald form

With True Form from your R, you can go over walls with Q Void Surge.
Mid Game
Now that you've gotten your first few items, possibly your mythic, the whole purpose will be to snowball, snowball, snowball! If you are behind, continue to farm as efficently as possible while looking for any possible ganks or free objectives (when enemies are on opposite side).

THE MID-GAME GAMEPLAN:

In the mid-game, Bel'Veth's gameplay is simple, get a true form and use it's power (bonus stats: lot of bonus HP, attack speed and AA range) to farm fast and continue to refresh your true form, hopefully before the previous expires. The more you can maintain your true form and continue to snowball the easier the game will be. We want to avoid dying while actively farming and looking for ganks and objectives.

Remember that killing rift herald gives you an extended true form of 3mins with the bonus of spawning minions.

Make sure you continue farming/scaling and buying your core items such as .

AND prioritise objectives such as Dragon and Rift Herald to get free R Endless Banquet. Buy control wards on backs and keep focusing objectives and remind your team about them. The resets will win you the game.
Late Game
The late game is your playground at this point you probably have close to 100 stacks on your passive Death in Lavender and you will be teamfighting a lot and getting objectives which will continue to grant you free stacks. In the late game, you have 3 things to remember:

1. You are looking for resets in teamfights:
Just like a viego, master yi or katarina, you flourish by killing 1 enemy at a time, for two reasons: Bel'Veth R passive stacks increasing attack speed and true damage when focusing a single target and second to get their R stack and regenerate HP.

2. Continue to take your camps to keep scaling and getting more stacks on Death in Lavender.

3. Objective Focus, Bel'Veth takes objectives extremely fast and it is good to remember that one mis-positioned enemy = free objective instantly with the right vision control.
THANK YOU
