This is one of the ban options for Kled. She hard counters him. You can never Q or Ult her, because she will just parry it. Fight her before she gets 6, because then she just beats you. Ping your jg for help, there is not much you can do against her if she knows what she is doing.
Jax
Another Kled hard counter. He will bait out your W and then use his E to block it, stunning you and dismounting you. He outscales you really hard and you cannot even fight him in lane, I recommend banning or dodging this champ.
Malphite
Very bad matchup. If you rush LDR, you can fight him in lane pre 6, but then you are done. His Ult will prevent you from remounting and he will outscale you really hard. Just try to end the game as soon as possible before he gets Frozen Heart + Thornmail.
Poppy
Unplayable matchup. She has very high base armor, so she beats you at any point in the Laning phase. She outscales you hard, so there is no point in trying to fight her. Either ping your jg to help you in lane or dodge the game.
Shen
One of the few tanks that Kled has trouble with. He can bait out your W by taunting you in his W. He can also prevent Kled from getting kills by rotating botside with his Ult.
Garen
This is a harder matchup. Send him back into CHAMP SELECT before he gets 6, because then, you cannot fight him. It is impossible to remount when he has ult, so unless you erase him before 6, you lose the lane really bad.
Gwen
This is a bad matchup for you. Kled has really low base MR so she can kill you in the early game. Try to kill her at level 2, 3 or 4, because then, she just beats you. She also outscales you really fast, so try ending the game ASAP.
Illaoi
This matchup is one of the harder ones. Pre 6, you beat her. But after she gets 6, you cannot do crap to her. Try sending her back to champ select pre 6 like with Garen, but then just ping your jg to help if she wants to fight.
Jayce
Like all other ranged toplaners, he is on the harder side. He can poke you and if you get on him, he will just knock you away out of E2 range. You beat him at 6, because you can ult him when he knocks you back.
Kennen
This is one of the worse ranged toplaners. He will CC you then disengage with E, preventing you from actually killing him. Try to hit 3 before him, most Kennens do not level up E before 3, so if you manage to mark him with your E when he does not have his E, you win
Nasus
Nasus is a very hard matchup. You stomp him in lane, but when he scales, he becomes unstopabble. If you know how to deny him farm well, then it is an Even matchup, otherwise it is hard.
Pantheon
Yet another hard matchup, Pantheon is one of the few champs that have a stronger early game than Kled. Do NOT fight him unless one of his abilities is down. A good Pantheon will save his W until you dismount to oneshot you, try to bait it out first. You outscale him with sorcery tree, so use that to your advantage in lategame.
Quinn
Just as any other ranged toplaner, she is a bad matchup. Try to hit level 3 first so you can E her. You can use your E2 to get back to her if she knocks you back. You beat her in late game, because she is very squishy.
Tahm Kench
This frog has decent pre 6 damage for a tank, so do not do stupid stuff. Dodge his W with your E or dismounted Q and you will be fine. Also, take Flash so you can escape if he eats you and spits you under his tower.
Teemo
Another ranged toplaner that Kled cannot do crap against. Bait out his Q by faking an engage and then kill him. Do NOT auto attack him before he Qs you, he wants to bait your W!
Vayne
Another ranged toplaner. Just like any ranged toplaner, use her squishiness to your advantage. If she knocks you back, use your E2 to dash back to her and oneshot her. She outscales you - DO NO FIGHT HER LATER!!!
Warwick
Warwick is a very hard matchup. He has stronger early game than you. You CANNOT engage in long trades with him, because he will heal really fast. Rush Executioner Calling against him. You can actually outscale him if he does not snowball.
Aatrox
This is a skill matchup. Buy Executioner Calling ASAP. Dodge his Q3 with your E. Your Q provides antiheal - use it when he uses his ult!
Akali
Another skill matchup. Make sure that you engage either by marking her with your E or by hitting a Q - this disables her smoke invisibility!
Camille
Yet another skill matchup. Dodge her E with your E, use your dismounted Q knockback to dodge her W, proc her passive with Q before going all in when it is on cooldown!
Darius
This is a prime example of a total skill matchup. ALWAYS all in him at level 2, take second wind if going the Demolish runes. Play safe at level 1, you kill him at 2 with ignite! Take Ignite and Barrier if you have trouble with him,
Gragas
Skill matchup. Do not play the poking game with him, his Q damage is no joke. Try to play for long trades, because he outsustains you with his passive.
Irelia
Skill matchup. You are much stronger than her at levels 1, 2, 4 and 5. Try to kill her at one of those levels, but beware of fighting her at level 3, because she can turn the fight around with her W resist.
Mordekaiser
This is another skill matchup. Fight him pre 6, you beat him. Do NOT fight him at level 1 because his passive trade-winner 3000 will automatically kill you for him. After 6, if you are ahead you can beat him, otherwise try to bait his ult, recall and engage when it is still on cooldown.
Olaf
Fight him at all times. The more you fight him, the better. Do not let him poke you with his Q.
Renekton
Fight him at level 2. You beat him pre 6, but after he gets 6 just try to bait out his Ult and when it expires, go all in!
Sett
Fight him pre 6, dodge his W with your E, do not get hit by his E stun (when he smashes 2 things together)
Trundle
Trundle is a skill matchup. No matter how much you massacre him pre 6, he will scale back into the game. So just try to speedrun the game and do NOT let him splitpush or else you will experience 9/11 all over again! Rush Warden Mail if yo have trouble with him early.
Tryndamere
Ah yes, Kled vs the more braindead Kled xD You beat him pre 6, but then you have to fight like this: Fight him, bait out his ult and disengage with E, Flash or anything else. Fight him again when it is on cooldown and kill him. If you have trouble with him, rush Warden Mail.
Urgot
Urgot is a matchup where you cannot fight him after he gets 6. Aim for a long fight at 2. Then, just proc his [SHOTGUN KNEES] and all in him if he does not have Ult.
Volibear
Volibear is an easy matchup when you know what to do. He has 2 win conditions that can turn a fight around: 1. He hits his W2 and heals 2. He procs his E shield by standing in the radius. If you prevent both of this from happening by opting for shorter trades, you win!
Yone
Skill matchup. You cannot beat him at level 1, 2 or 3 if he is decent (most Yones in Silver and below are braindead btw) When you hit 4, all in him and try to get a lead. When he gets 6, save your E to dodge his Ult.
Zac
Zac would be a Minor threat if it was not for passive, which makes him undiveable if he has it up, Rush executioners for antiheal and make sure he does not have his passive up when you try to 2v1 him and the enemy jungler.
Briar
If you face Briar Top - make sure you use your Q on her ASAP. It provides antiheal. Otherwise, she is very squishy so it is an easy matchup.
Cho'Gath
Very easy matchup in lane, just fight him all the time. Later, he scales out of control, but you still kill him. Avoid teamfighting, because he is much better at that than you.
Gnar
Pretty easy matchup, keep track of his passive. He is very squishy in his mini form, fight him when his mega form expires. If he runs under tower, just run with him, you can dive him easily :)
K'Sante
You beat this champion in laning phase. Rush LDR against him, or else he will disable your champ with armor stacking. You beat him pre 6 and even later if you are even slightly ahead.
Kayle
Kayle is a matchup where you beat her at any level in lane. The problem is that she outscales you so hard that she will auto-win late even if she is terribly behind. A good Kayle will play under tower, so try to roam as much as possible and get your other laners ahead.
Ornn
Ornn is an easy matchup, because you can fight him anytime during the Laning phase. He outscales you, but you can still kill him unlike Malphite.
Riven
You beat her at any point during the Laning Phase. Try not to get stunned by her when dismounted, as that will usually result in you dying. Beware of her Ult, it deals a ton of damage when you are about to remount!
Rumble
Kled is one of the few champs that outdamage Rumble. Fight him pre 6, then opt for shorter trades where you go in, heal with Rav Hydra, then go in again until he becomes diveable.
Singed
He does not deal enough damage to kill you, but he can escape easily. Do not dive him, he will throw you somewhere where you do not want to be. And remember: Do not chase Singed!
Udyr
Udyr is not a hard matchup at all. You beat him at any level except 1 during the Laning phase. Until he gets Frozen Heart, you can do anything in lane, then leave it to your assassin/mage to take care of him.
Yasuo
Yasuo is not a hard matchup. Proc his passive before engaging him by using your Q. Make sure to bait out his W before getting dismounted so your pellets can hit him. Mark him with you E so he does not escape with his dashes.
Yorick
Yorick has a weak early game, so you can beat him pre 6 no problem. He is THE weakest level 1 champ, so try to cheese him by camping in his bush when minions arrive, then jumping out.
Dr. Mundo
Very easy matchup, I would consider Kled a Mundo hard counter. You kill him at any point in the game, but he can scale out of control and dominate teamfights, so try to end the game as fast as you can!
Gangplank
The absolute EASIEST matchup for you if you know what to do. Do NOT give him a break in Lane, just fight him. He is squishy so you can kill him even under tower with Eclipse. Use your E to dodge his barrels and Ult. He does outscale you later so try to end as fast as you can.
Heimerdinger
Heimerdicker is a pretty hard matchup, because its very hard to get on top of him. Try to use your E to engage and dodge his E sweet spot. Getting stunned by it usually means death!
Naafiri
If you play against Naafiri Top, just fight her constantly. She is very squishy and does not do enough damage early to oneshot you.
Sion
You beat him at any point during the Laning phase, just watch out for his passive! Take Flash so you can escape the zombie form
Skarner
Extremely easy matchup. All he does is CC you, you deal like triple the damage he does xD
Smolder
Free matchup. This ranged toplaner does negative damage early, so just use your E2 to stick on him if he tries to escape with E and smack him to death!
Twisted Fate
Twisted Fate is a free matchup, because unlike most other ranged toplaners, he has no tool to disable you or get away from you once you catch him. Oh, yeah, he has the gold card, but you oneshot him before he can use it anyway xD
Master Yi
Master Yi has very good diving, so he can help you destroy the enemy under tower.
Kindred
If Kindred Ults you, you can remount safely by auto attacking the invincible enemy.
Nunu & Willump
Very good diving and ganks that synergize with Kleds playstyle perfectly.
Blitzcrank
If he hits a hook, the enemy is usually dead because of your very high damage, allowing you to ult in a 4v5 teamfight.
Amumu
A lot of CC to help you remount.
Warwick
Good early game as well, so you can focus on getting a MASSIVE early lead.
Pantheon
Good early game as well, so you can focus on getting a MASSIVE early lead.
Aurelion Sol
Kled does not like scalers on his team, because they want to stretch the game for as long as possible, while Kled wants to end it ASAP
Kayle

Senna
Kled does not like scalers on his team, because they want to stretch the game for as long as possible, while Kled wants to end it ASAP, this one steals my damn kills too xD
Jarvan IV
Jarvan is a terrible jungler to have, because if he Ults somebody you want to Ult, you cannot lock on to them because your Ult will go around his walls
Anivia
Anivia can block your Ult with her walls on accident.

So, you thinking about picking up Kled? Here are some reasons why it is a good idea!
-Very good early game!
-Playstyle that is COMPLETELY different from any other champ in the game!
-Probably the best voicelines in the game!
-Deals a **** ton of damage!
-With my build - Is pretty tanky!
-Not that hard to learn - But the skill ceiling is very high!
-Come on, who would not want to ride a damn lizard!
Alright, did I convince you yet?
Maybe you want to climb? In that case, Kled is a perfect champion for you! He is a soloqueue MONSTER. Nobody knows what he does (you will often see people complaining in chat about that).
If you want to climb out of low elo, Kled is a good option as well. If you are iron-silver, literally nobody there knows what to do against him because they are not used to playing vs him.
KLED TIPS
This section will be about some tips on how to effectively DOMINATE your games as Kled.
1. W HOLDING - This is a common strategy used by experienced Kled players. When watching a Kled OTP play, you might spot that they keep their W unleveled upon reaching lvl 2. This is because they wait until a fight happens, during which they dismount and level up their W, guarenteeing a fast remount, usually winning the fight.
2. COMBOS - Kled is not a hard champ combo-wise. He is an autoattacker, which means most of his damage comes from auto attacks. With that said, there are a few combos you should keep in mind for effective fights.
-BASIC ALL IN: E-Q-4 W AUTOS-E2-DISMOUNT-dis.Q-AUTO UNTIL REMOUNT-REPEAT UNTIL DEATH OF ENEMY
-ENGAGE: R-E-Q-WAIT FOR ENEMY TO FLASH OUT OF Q RANGE-E2
- DISENGAGE: FLASH-dis.Q-KITE WITH W UNTIL REMOUNT-E-R AWAY FROM OPPONENT
3. UNDERSTANDING YOUR ROLE - After laning phase ends, you need to understand what your role will be. First, assess your team: Do they have a tank? Do they have at least 2 reliable damage sources? Do they have good engage?
Now, try to fill in the role that is missing in your team. For example, if the team comp is like this:
Kled Top
Zac Jungle
Veigar Mid
Samira ADC
Nautilus Support
They already have a lot of tanks, so there is no need to build a tank item and act as a frontliner. They also have 2 decent damage sources. So in this game, your role would be as a backline demolisher, ulting to teamfights from the opposite side, accessing their backline and deleting it before the enemy frontliners can do anything about it.
You also have to pay attention to the enemy team. Lets do one more example, this time with an enemy team instead of yours:
Malphite Top
Vi Jungle
Hwei Mid
Smolder ADC
Lux Support
In this game, the enemy team has much better teamfighting than yours. With all of these champions, there is no chance to beat them in a teamfight becuase Kled does not have good teamfight capability compared to lets say Malphite. In this game, you should focus more on creating a gold advantage from splitpushing, which will prompt the enemy team to send one of their teamfighting champions to stop you, allowing your team to safely engage in a 4v4 fight, which you can join with Ult much faster than the enemy that went to stop you, which has to walk all the way back to mid.
